When Tractor Supply Co., a leading retailer of farm and agricultural supplies, set out to build a new store in Silver Springs, Florida, fire protection was a critical requirement. The company needed a high-capacity water storage solution that complied with NFPA 22 fire protection standards while being robust enough to withstand Florida’s challenging weather conditions, including frequent hurricanes. SBS Tanks USA was chosen to design, manufacture, and install a 68,420-gallon CY13R04 Cyclonic Range tank, ensuring the store met all fire safety regulations while keeping installation time to a minimum.
This project came with a unique challenge: the timeline overlapped with the Christmas and New Year holiday season, a period notorious for delays. With contractors facing strict deadlines to complete the store’s fire protection infrastructure, SBS Tanks USA prioritized manufacturing, expedited delivery, and optimized installation procedures to ensure on-time completion. By leveraging our efficient modular tank system, the fire water storage tank was installed in just 2.5 days, allowing the project to stay on schedule.
Given Florida’s exposure to hurricanes and severe storms, a standard tank wouldn’t suffice.
